Reflections on the genre of performance in music
Any musical performance is a musical manifesto of the world, made in a shocking and entertaining way. But if, initially, the musical performance was aimed at changing society, at exposing the problems of society (just recall the Cage 4:33 experiment or some actions of the art movement “Fluxus”), then in its later interpretations the main goal becomes shocking . Today, performance has become an entertaining and completely harmless genre. Moreover, while in Russia in most of these musical experiments, they are still trying to express cosmic meanings (the same loud performances by the composer Oleg Karavaichuk), then in the West they have long ago switched to more “sparing” and at the same time accessible and understandable to the general public forms. Strengthening cathartic experiences with music
One glance at a person who has in his memory a painful experience, actualized in the present, is enough to determine the presence of this experience. Usually, a person tries to hide an emotion that is struggling towards realization, perhaps interpreting it as negative.
But the tensions that arise in a person who suppresses his emotions, help to destroy the “primary essence”, which increases the alienation peculiar to most people from themselves and others (Lowen, 1975). Auditory therapy of A.Tomatis
About 40 years ago, the French otolaryngologist, Alfred Tomatis, made some amazing discoveries that prompted the development of the Tomatis method. This method has various names: “auditory learning”, “auditory arousal” or “auditory therapy”. Its purpose is to re-educate a person to the hearing process, which improves the ability to learn and learn languages, to communicate, increases creativity and positively influences the social behavior of the individual.
