Guitar history
Many historians differently describe the history of the origin of modern guitar and its varieties. This is not surprising, because the first stringed-plucked instruments, which were the prototype of this…

THE BEATLES “. ROCA ORIGINS?

About “THE BEATLES” written so much that new discoveries in this area can not be done. Many consider 4 Liverpool guys to be the founders of the rock style. Is it so? – It is hard to say. Probably so. Although it seems to me that “THE BEATLES” gave impetus to the development of style, which was later called “soft rock” and which later developed into the so-called “pop music”. One of the features of “THE BEATLES”, which allowed me to rank them as “pop-singers”, is the relative simplicity of their music and lyrics, although this is more likely a consequence of the needs of young people than the lack of ability of musicians. The youth were then tired of the complexities of life, they wanted something light and easy to understand. There is no denying the contribution to the development
youth music “THE BEATLES” made a huge. Of course, they gave the spiritual foundation of rock,
prepared for him an audience of listeners, but they could not establish rock in terms of music. A lot is said for “THE BEATLES” by Bob Dylan, one of the creators of the folk-rock style:
“They did something that was impossible, something that could not be possible … I told myself: now everything will be wrong; I was shocked. And I could not believe that I hadn’t seen BEATLES a few hours ago .. . ”
Hard rock. Literally: hard or hard rock. The concept is so comprehensive that many do not see the difference between rock music itself and this, one of its most massive and popular offshoots.
Sharpness in rock music was always enough – the first rock and rolls were precisely why they annoyed listeners who were used to streamlined, smooth transfer of musical ideas. Hard rock, the “ghost” of which has been vital in pop-group compositions since the first half of the 60s, for the first time took a relatively clear form in the music of such groups as “THE M15” and “CREAM” (although it is impossible to unambiguously define authorship: the idea is really rushed in the air, elements of hard rock appeared in the music “THE BEATLES”, “THE ROLLING STONES”, “YARDBIRDS”).
Compositions in the style of “hard rock” cause a subjective feeling of gravity, achieved due to
highlighting the rhythm section to the forefront, which requires musicians to master their own virtuoso
tools. In hard rock, in addition to the “convexity” of the rhythm section, all the instruments included in it
directly connected with the melodic leader – guitarist, so there can not be
separate improvisation of one instrument, which means that all are involved in improvisation
group tools, creating integrity and solidity of the work.
As an independent direction, “hard rock” stood out in the late 60s, and due to the fact that it was conveyed to the listener by outstanding guitarist Jimmy Hendrix, “hard rock” has since assumed to be performed by virtuoso instrumentalists, which only went to benefit and music, and its fans. By the beginning of the 70s, gigantic groups appeared that were shining not only with the weight of their “hard rock”, but also exceptional composer talent and performance skills: “LED ZEPPELING”, “DEEP PURPLE”, “BLACK SABBATH”, “NAZARETH”, ” GRAND FUNK RAILROAD “and many, many others, almost 30 years ago defined the laws and frameworks of the good tone of hard rock today.
In conclusion, we can say that the synthesis of hard rock with other areas of rock music, like
usually yields interesting results – so appeared “heavy art rock”, “hard fusion”, “heavy
psychedelia, as well as such styles as glitter-rock, heavy rhythm-and-blues, hardcore.
“Heavy metal”, or “heavy tools” – this phrase is translated – one of the branches of “hard rock”, which became widespread in the early 80s.
Just like in hard rock, the foundations of heavy metal were laid by performers such as “LED
ZEPPELING “,” BLACK SABBATH “,” GRAND FUNK RAILROAD “,” DEEP PURPLE “. By selecting from these
groups of extremely powerful guitar riffs, brought to solo virtuosity and “cannonad”
drums, the “new wave” groups of English rock, such as “DIAMOND HEAD” and “IRON MAIDEN”, only developed an instrumental structure of the style that later received final development in the music of the representatives of the so-called “speed” – and “thrash” – ” metal. ”
There is still confusion in the definition of “hard rock” and “heavy metal”. If in the USA
“Heavy Metal” is a concept that combines “metal” and “hard rock”, then in England the classification
very close to ours, although when comparing, for example, the music of “METALLICA” and “IRON MAIDEN”
only the first group – according to English standards – can be attributed to the “metal”.
The element of improvisation in the true “metal” is practically reduced to zero, more precisely, it is absent
in the traditional sense of the word, however, experienced “metal” groups (“METALLICA”, “SLAYER”,
“MEGADEATH”) often introduces very complex changes in rhythm into their compositions, and for the unprepared
The listener may experience a sense of cacophony, although this is a rhythmic improvisation, very close in spirit to that which is studied by serious modern composers.
